Jeffco Burn Guidelines

The Jefferson County Department of Health/ Environmental Health Services Air & Radiation Protection division now has inspector/enforcement personnel who respond to complaints and investigate. They also investigate if they see an area that there is possible burning.

Anyone who burns in Jefferson County, whether they are in a city limits or not, has to call to obtain a permit from Jefferson County Department of Environmental Health Services prior to any open burning (rubbish, leaves etc..).
